What We Hold, and Why.

Musika handles commercially sensitive buyer, supplier and transaction information. This states what we collect, what we do with it and who can see it.

Who Is Responsible for Your Information

Musika is co-owned by Cabanga Africa Group (Pty) Ltd, the South African entity, and Cabanga Africa (Pty) Ltd, the Botswana entity, which built and runs the platform. In these documents "Musika", "we" and "us" means the co-owners acting together.

Contact us about your information at info@musika.co.za or +27 69 342 8500 (call and WhatsApp).

2

The Laws We Follow

We process personal information under the Data Protection Act, 2024 of Botswana, the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 of South Africa, the Data Protection Act, 2021 of Zambia, the Cyber and Data Protection Act, 2021 of Zimbabwe, and the law that applies in Namibia.

3

What We Collect

What you give us on Musika forms: name, business, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country, delivery details, requirements, supply records, partner and agent applications and messages. We also record the email confirmation code result and the time of your acceptance of the Charter and this notice.

4

What Stays in Your Browser

Your cart, shortlist and language choice are kept in your own browser storage and are not sent to us until you submit them. See Cookies.

5

Why We Use It

To qualify your requirement, source and quote it, process orders, payments and deliveries, verify suppliers, partners and agents, pay commissions, handle claims and keep the records the law requires.

6

Who We Share It With

Only those who need it for your transaction: verified suppliers once an introduction is made, the payment environment for your order, logistics and clearing partners, and the service providers that run our forms and records. Trade-floor posts never show your identity.

7

Across Borders

Musika trades between South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe, so your information moves between them. We share it across borders only as your transaction requires, with the safeguards the applicable law sets.

8

How Long We Keep It

Enquiries that do not become orders are kept for up to two years. Order, payment and tax records are kept for as long as the law of the relevant country requires.

9

Your Rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to its use, or withdraw consent, by writing to info@musika.co.za. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Effective 4 October 2026.
